Ordering as an individual or as a company
You set your account type on the Profile page, in the Account type field: Individual or Company. It decides what appears on your invoices and which rights you have when you order.
Individual
As an individual, your name and address appear on the invoice. If you order as a consumer, you have the right to withdraw without giving a reason; see Cancellation and withdrawal.
Company — and sole traders
A company also needs its company name and tax number. Choose Company as a sole trader too: a tax number can only be stored on a company account, and ordering as a business requires one.
Enter the tax number in Hungarian format, with hyphens: 12345676-1-42. The portal also checks the check digit, so a mistyped tax number is refused.
Ordering as a business does not carry the consumer right of withdrawal.
Customers outside Hungary
You can give a billing address in any country. For a business order we can currently accept only a Hungarian-format tax number, not an EU VAT number.
VAT
We are exempt from VAT as a small business (alanyi adómentesség), so we charge no VAT and the price you see in the portal is the final price for individuals and companies alike. The invoice says so with the note "Alanyi adómentes". It also means there is no VAT on the invoice to reclaim.
Registering a .hu domain
The .hu registry asks for an identifier of the domain holder: an identity document number from an individual, a tax number from a company. Registering a domain also needs a phone number in international format (for example +36 30 123 4567). You can enter these on the Profile page.
When your details change
You can update your details on the Profile page at any time; the next invoice uses the new details. Invoices already issued do not change: by law an issued document cannot be rewritten afterwards.
