Renewals and late payment

Your services renew every cycle, monthly or annually. This article explains when you receive the renewal proforma and what happens if a payment is missed.

How a renewal works

  1. 14 days before the due date we issue a renewal proforma. You get an email about it, and a notice with a payment link in the portal.
  2. The proforma is payable by the due date itself.
  3. If you have enough credit, the proforma is settled from it automatically.
  4. After payment, the next period runs from the previous due date, not from the day you paid. A renewal paid late does not push the expiry back.

There is no automatic card charging; you always pay a renewal yourself.

If a payment is missed

After the due dateWhat happens
Day 3we send a reminder, and the proforma becomes overdue
Day 7the service is suspended, and we email you
Day 30the service is terminated, and the open proforma is voided

While suspended, your data is untouched. Pay the open proforma and the service is reactivated automatically, with nothing else for you to do. The reason for a suspension is also shown on the service page.

After termination

A terminated service cannot be reinstated; it can only be started again with a new order.

  • Hosting files and databases are kept for 30 days after termination, then deleted for good.
  • Mailboxes and virtual servers are deleted immediately on termination.
  • A DNS zone hosted with us keeps working for at least 30 more days.

If you do not want to renew a service, do not let it lapse: cancel the renewal instead. The service then runs properly to the end of the paid period, and you can save your data in the meantime. See Cancellation and withdrawal.

The exact rules are in the Terms of Service.
