Proformas and invoices

Paying involves two documents: first a proforma, then, once you have paid, an invoice. They are not the same thing and are not used for the same purpose.

Proforma

A proforma (díjbekérő) is a request for payment, not an invoice. It needs no bookkeeping, and no VAT can be reclaimed on it.

  • For a new order it is issued as soon as the order is placed, whatever the payment method.
  • For a renewal you receive it by email and in the portal 14 days before the due date. It is payable by the due date itself.

Open proformas are listed on the Invoices page, where you can also pay them.

Invoice

The invoice is issued electronically and automatically once your payment has arrived, and is linked to its proforma. Every invoice is reported to the Hungarian tax authority's Online Számla system, as the law requires.

  • We email you about each new document.
  • The invoice can be downloaded as a PDF from the Invoices page at any time.
  • The invoice shows how it was paid (card or bank transfer).

VAT

We are exempt from VAT as a small business (alanyi adómentesség), so we charge no VAT. Invoice lines carry the 0% exempt tax code, and the invoice bears the note "Alanyi adómentes". The price you see in the portal is the final price.

If an invoice is wrong

By law an issued invoice can be neither changed nor deleted. If you find a mistake, open a support ticket and we will cancel or correct the invoice. Details you change on the Profile page appear on later invoices only.

When we refund a payment, we issue a credit note (storno invoice) for the amount refunded.
